Asset management system

Fixed Asset Management

In production Standalone application

Manages the full lifecycle of the group's fixed assets, from acquisition through disposal, with automatic tax depreciation calculations.

The asset register was maintained in separate spreadsheets by branch, with no attached documentation or assignment history. Depreciation was calculated manually at year-end, and disposals were documented in separate forms.

Each asset has an identification label, digital record, and movement history. Depreciation is recalculated automatically, and disposals retain signatures, approval when required, and the generated disposal record.

The group has one asset register, a complete assignment and disposal history, and automatically calculated tax depreciation.

I designed and built the complete asset management process, from the data model and permissions through document generation and deployment.

How it works

Each asset has a single history. Operating and control activities repeat throughout its useful life until a possible disposal.

Fixed asset lifecycle and recurring controls After registration, the asset remains in operation while custody, depreciation, and verification activities repeat. An approved disposal request ends the cycle; a canceled request returns the asset to operation. Custody, depreciation, and verification activities return the asset to operation and repeat throughout its useful life. Only an approved disposal ends the cycle; a cancellation returns the asset to operation.
